Click “Join” in the top right side of the website. Fill up the necessary fields and you are officially a NISBook user!
The NISBook username is your unique identification on NISBook. After successful application, your username will be tied to your account.
If you are unable to use the username you filled in, please check that the username is between 6 and 16 characters. If another user has taken your username, your preferred username cannot be used.
The email is used for retrieval of password. Should you forget your password, the steps to reset your password will be sent to your email. Your email is also used for verification purposes.
If you top-up US$100 credits into your account within 12 months, you will automatically upgrade to a Senior Member account. as a Senior Member, you can enjoy a 10% discount for all your future VIP chapters purchases, you will also be able to select exclusive Senior Member avatar as your personal profile photo.
Unfortunately, the NISBook user name cannot be changed.
Upon login, click on the arrow on the top right hand corner of the website. Click on “Edit Profile” and you may make your necessary changes.

Click “Forget password?” on the “Sign In” page. Enter the email that you registered with us. A password reset link will be sent to you by email. Follow the steps in the email to reset your password.
Upon login, click on the arrow on the top right hand corner for the menu. Click on “Bookcase” to view your bookcase.
At the main book page, click on “Add to Bookcase” button to add the book to your bookcase.
After login, you can visit your “Bookcase” page under the Reader menu, click the books that you want to remove by ticking the checkbox on the left hand side of the table, and click the "Remove" button. The books will then be remove from your bookcase.
The only way to add the book back to your bookcase is to go back to that book main page and add the book back into your bookcase.
Should you receive messages in your inbox, click on the arrow on the top right hand corner. Click on “Inbox” to read your unread messages.
No. NISBook users are not able to send messages to each other. Only the administrator/system is able to send messages to users.
After you have found a book that interests you, scroll down on the book page and click on the chapters to begin reading your book!
Yes. You may increase the size of the font. Simply click on the font adjustment buttons on the right to adjust your font size.
You may use the up and down arrows to scroll. The left and right arrows also allow you to view the previous and next chapter respectively.
Yes. You may write your comments when reading the book. Simply type in your comments in the comment section below the book or chapter.
You may like the book to increase its popularity! To like the book, simple click on the heart on the main book page.
On the main menu, there is a search page. On the search page, you may search for a book either by the keywords or the category.
On the search page, click on the arrow beside the search bar. The arrow will show all the categories available and you may select the desired category you want to search from.
Under the advanced search, you may search for books that have been completed.
Anyone may apply to be a NISBook author. Just click on the menu "Apply As Author" on the dropdown menu at the top right hand corner.
Approval of author’s application will take up to 1 to 2 working days (excluding weekends).
You will receive an email from us regarding the application status. If the application is not successful, you will still receive an email from us informing you about the reasons for your failure in the approval process.
A pen name has to be unique. If the pen name is taken, please use another pen name.
When a book has reached 15,000 words (excluding preface), you may apply for contracting. If the contracting application is approved, you may then start writing VIP chapters for that book.
Account security reminders are as follows:
  1. Be careful with your account and your password. Should others know your password, please change the password for security purposes.
  2. Do add symbols or numbers to increase the security level of your password.
  3. When logging in www.nisbook.com, do not let the browser record your password automatically, empty and cache regularly.
  4. Do not install untrusted plugins or visit untrusted websites.
  5. Update your anti-virus software regularly to increase your chances of exterminating the virus.
After logging into the Author Zone, there is a “Change Password” button on the left hand side of your dashboard.
After logging into the author zone, click on “My Books” in the side menu. In “My Books”, click on “Create new book” to start writing your new book.
VIP chapters are chapters that required to be paid before users are able to read it. VIP chapters will also allow you to earn money or credits whenever someone reads your chapter.
To ensure that your book is able to publish VIP chapters, you have to first apply for contracting of the book. Your book needs to have at least 15000 words before you are able to apply the book for contracting.
Do ensure you comply to all guidelines as well as the terms and conditions of NISBook.
The publication of new books should meet the NISBook’s guidelines.
After a book has been created, you are not allowed to edit the book name and the category. However, you may still change the except of the book. To change the excerpt, log into the “Author Zone” and click on "My Books" to select the book you would wish to edit. Click on “Edit Details” button to edit the excerpt.
After logging into the “Author Zone” and click on "My Books" and go to your book main page, click on “Edit Details” button below the excerpt. On the edit book page, you may upload a book cover.
To publish new chapters, go to the book main page after loggin into your “Author Zone”. Click on “Add New Chapter” button to write a new chapter to your book.
Yes! You may update your chapters by going to that chapter and click on "Edit Chapter" button.
You may write an announcement for each book. On the book main page, you will see the Announcement section below the book excerpt. Click on the pencil icon on the right to add/edit your announcement. If it is blank, the announcement section will not be shown to other readers.
As an author of your book, you may star comments, pin a comment and also lock the comment section.
As an author, you may star comments to let readers know you have placed attention on this comment. To star a comment, simply click on the star in the comment’s section of each comment.
As an author, you can pin one comment to the top of your comments list. This would mean that this comment will always appear on the top of all other comments. However, only one comment can be pinned. To pin a comment, simply click on the pin icon on the right hand side of the comment to pin it to the top.
Should you wish to disable the comment section of your book or chapter, you may lock the comment section. This will not block users from commenting on your book or chapter.
Yes. You may unlock the comment section even though it has been locked. To unlock/lock the comment section, simply click on the lock button on the top right hand corner of the comments section.
Click on the arrow on the top right hand corner of the home page. Under the menu, click on “Transaction History”. Your transaction history will then be reflected accordingly.
Yes. To check your spending records, simply select your desired start and end date above the table of your records. Click on "Apply" and your results will be reflected accordingly.
On the “Transaction History” page, you will see the total top-up credits, used credits and available credits above the table.
Auto-subscribe is a feature that enables you to auto pay for the next VIP chapter of a book.
Go to "Subscriptions" page at the top right hand corner dropdown menu and remove from there.
After you have logged in, click on the arrow on the top right for the menu. Click on “Credits Top-up” and select the desired amount you would wish to top up. You may also top up an amount of your choice. Follow the instructions to complete your transaction.

Note: Once a top up of credits is successful, there will be no refund of the amount.
